On account of this, we present five Game Design projects dealing with social innovation, socio-cultural and cross-cultural issues investigated through ludical metaphor, stimulating individual and collective socio-cultural reflections aimed to support learning. Five friends, little tree creatures, set out on a journey to save the last seed from their home tree which is infested by evil parasites. Therefore, the act of playing within a particular context leads the player to overcome the magic circle boundaries and symbolically interact with the socio-cultural elements of the society itself. Botanicula is a humor-filled adventure game created by the makers of award-winning Machinarium and Samorost series, studio Amanita Design and Czech band DVA. The game as a representative system reflects the context and the culture in which it was born. The meaningful experience concept is connected to and harnesses reflections and awareness, suggesting best practices. With learning we refer, in particular, to the process of gaining and absorbing information and knowledge, a process that requires engagement, involvement and dedication. Botanicula est un jeu vidéo indépendant sorti le 19 avril 2012 et réalisé par Amanita Design, le collectif tchèque déjà à lorigine des deux opus de Samorost et de Machinarium. ""Considering the current technological development and the rapid change in how we communicate, we focus on the field of learning and the new roles within it. Hence the worlds created by Amanita Design seem to be the answer to the dominant hyper-realistic aesthetics of mainstream games. The new reality, however radically anti-realistic, does not try to pretend to be something else than itself. Every time they set a spatially complex structure in the two-dimensional environment of the game, it manages, despite its fantastic nature, to maintain its full integrity. The creators base their technique on a deconstruction of one reality, and at the same time they build entirely new worlds. Such refined structure of virtual assemblage seems to escape the concept of simulacrum. The structure of these game cluster spaces is built not only from material artefacts of human culture but also from the elements of nature. These examples are particularly interesting as the artistic technique in this case goes beyond the aesthetic aspects (visual art and music) and the narration, and actively informs the gameplay. The film is produced by two-time Emmy® winner Marc Platt (“Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert,” “Grease Live!”), Miranda, two-time Emmy winner John DeLuca (“Tony Bennett: An American Classic”), and Rob Marshall, with Jeffrey Silver (“The Lion King”) serving as executive producer. This paper will show how the collage technique actively influences the structure of Amanita Designs’ games, such as Samorost series, Botanicula, Machinarium. The songs feature music from multiple Academy Award® winner Alan Menken (“Beauty and the Beast,” “Aladdin”) and lyrics by Howard Ashman, and new lyrics by three-time Tony Award® winner Lin-Manuel Miranda. “The Little Mermaid” is directed by Oscar® nominee Rob Marshall (“Chicago,” “Mary Poppins Returns”)with a screenplay by two-time Oscar nominee David Magee (“Life of Pi,” “Finding Neverland”). The film stars singer and actress Halle Bailey (“grown-ish”) as Ariel Jonah Hauer-King (“A Dog’s Way Home”) as Prince Eric Tony Award® winner Daveed Diggs (“Hamilton”) as the voice of Sebastian Awkwafina (“Raya and the Last Dragon”) as the voice of Scuttle Jacob Tremblay (“Luca”) as the voice of Flounder Noma Dumezweni (“Mary Poppins Returns”) as Queen Selina Art Malik (“Homeland”) as Sir Grimsby with Oscar® winner Javier Bardem (“No Country for Old Men”) as King Triton and two-time Academy Award® nominee Melissa McCarthy (“Can You Ever Forgive Me?” “Bridesmaids”) as Ursula. She makes a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, which gives her a chance to experience life on land but ultimately places her life – and her father’s crown – in jeopardy. The youngest of King Triton’s daughters and the most defiant, Ariel longs to find out more about the world beyond the sea and, while visiting the surface, falls for the dashing Prince Eric. While mermaids are forbidden to interact with humans, Ariel must follow her heart. “The Little Mermaid” is the beloved story of Ariel, a beautiful and spirited young mermaid with a thirst for adventure.
